“The only way out is through” -Robert Frost

At Through the Woods Counseling, we believe that every person has strengths—even during times when they may feel hidden or hard to access. Life’s challenges, stress, anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions can make it difficult to see your own resilience. Our counseling services are designed to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences and reconnect with those strengths.

We believe that healing happens through the process of understanding and working through what you’ve been carrying. In therapy, you don’t have to face those challenges alone. By taking the time to process difficult emotions, thoughts, and experiences, many people find clarity, relief, and a renewed sense of direction.

  • Adolescence can be an exciting but challenging stage of life. Teens often face increased pressure related to school, friendships, family expectations, identity, and social media. These changes can sometimes lead to anxiety, stress, mood changes, low self-esteem, or difficulty managing emotions. At Through the Woods Counseling, we provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where teens can talk openly about what they’re experiencing. Through therapy, teens can build healthy coping skills, strengthen self-confidence, and learn strategies to better manage stress, relationships, and life transitions.

  • Young adulthood is a time of significant change, growth, and decision-making. Many young adults are navigating new responsibilities related to college, careers, independence, relationships, and identity. These transitions can bring excitement, but they can also lead to stress, anxiety, uncertainty, or feelings of being overwhelmed. At Through the Woods Counseling, we provide a supportive space where young adults can explore challenges, process life transitions, and gain clarity about their goals and values. Therapy can help build confidence, develop healthy coping strategies, and support emotional well-being during this important stage of life.

  • Women often balance many roles and responsibilities, which can sometimes lead to stress, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion. Life transitions, relationships, career demands, motherhood, identity changes, and personal expectations can all impact mental health and well-being. At Through the Woods Counseling, we provide a supportive and compassionate space where women can explore their experiences, process challenges, and reconnect with their strengths. Through therapy, women can develop healthy coping strategies, improve self-confidence, and work toward greater balance, clarity, and emotional wellness.
